Welcome to The Practical Seeker  Blog

My apologies for being "under the radar" for a long time. But now I have returned, and I hope to be more regular with this blog.

Several things happened that caused me to stop posting. The biggest one was the death of my mother in June 2024. The other was that I helped start a new Zen meditation group in my city in November 2024.

My mom lived a long life, dying at the age of ninety-three, but, even so, me becoming an "orphan" has not been easy.

My involvement with organizing our new Zen group has been very demanding but satisfying. The city really needed to have a regular, ongoing Buddhist meditation site and we were lucky enough to find a good, low cost venue as a base. We also have a number of enthusiastic volunteers. This project is going very well so far, and I am pleased.

Anyway, as I said, I hope to be more regular with this blog. Keep checking in!

P.S.: The photo I posted is of carnations, my mom's favorite flower.
